Xavier Dambrine is a French sculptor born in 1964 who works with various materials such as wood (chainsaw), lead, bronze, aluminum and cast iron. His sculptures, whether abstract or figurative, always emerge from great dynamic and organic tensions.
Xavier Dambrine, a former student of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and winner of the grand sculpture prize of the Académie des Beaux-Arts, has made numerous monumental commissions, including a monument commemorating the war in exyugoslavia in sarajevo. He exhibits regularly in Europe and Turkey.
How to look, how to stand before the form, stand before the model, how to apprehend the immense chaos of the forms that arrive, and try to make a synthesis.
