I was born in Angola and I currently live in Madrid. I have always been fascinated by the etnic differences of female souls and their inner worlds. There is no doubt that my pictures countain crowds of women, sensations, textures and secrets. The moment that made me believe in my art was when I gave as a present to a friend ( who dreamed of painting one day ) an easel, a canvas and some material to paint. Time passed and he never used it so one day impulsively I began to draw. What? A woman… I ended up shaking with emotion, I would swear that she winked to me. The gift was for me. If I could be projected at a time in art history I’d choose Art Nouveau, a new century began. A very particular movement that could be found in painting, architecture, graphic design, sculpture, posters, lamps, jewelry, interior design, illustrations books…without doubt a type of art that covered all daily life. The female figures were very elegant and delicate thanks to the use of calm colors and wavy lines and shapes. My favorite tecnique when painting is carbon on paper, the grotesque of one and the fragility of the other. My dream as an artist is to live off and for painting. And because I like to write, be able to link my verses and my women in a book of illustrations. If I could decorate my living room with a masterpiece, I would choose, Jeanne Hebuterne in a large hat, by Amedeo Modigliani.
